Hasmik Keshishian, Ph.D.

Hasmik Keshishian is a senior research scientist in the Proteomics Platform at the Ó³»´«Ã½ of MIT and Harvard working under the direction of Steve Carr. Keshishian’s focus over the past 14 years at the Ó³»´«Ã½ has been the development and application of targeted mass spectrometry technologies for quantifying peptides, proteins, and post translational modifications such as phosphorylation in biological fluids, cells, and tissues. Her research has also been focused on developing new technologies for discovery proteomics in plasma, cells, and tissues.
Recently, Keshishian has to achieve detection and quantitation of nearly 5,000 proteins in plasma and to greatly increase throughput of data generation and analysis. In addition, she works on large and small collaborations within and outside of the Ó³»´«Ã½, helping address biological problems using proteomics tools.
Keshishian holds a Ph.D. in biochemistry and has been trained in mass spectrometry and proteomics.
