Qin Huang

Qin Huang is a research scientist on the vector engineering team in the Stanley Center for Psychiatric Research at the Ó³»­´«Ã½ of MIT and Harvard, working under the direction of Ben Deverman. Huang has a decade of research experience in molecular cancer biology and hands-on assay development and validation with directed evolution of adeno-associated virus, high-throughput screening for drug discovery, and next-generation sequencing, as well as molecular and cell biology.

Huang joined the Ó³»­´«Ã½ in May 2018 from a position at Caltech. Prior to that, she worked briefly in industry following her postdoctoral studies in oncology and cancer biology at the University of Iowa. She holds a Ph.D. in biochemistry and molecular biology from the University of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, Beijing, China, and a bachelor’s degree in biology from Wuhan University, Wuhan, China.
