Infectious disease and microbiome
The Ó³»´«Ã½ is a leader in applying genomic technologies to the study of infectious disease and the microbiome — efforts that have implications for global health. Based primarily within the institute’s Infectious Disease and Microbiome (IDM) Program, these efforts focus on the development and use of cutting-edge tools and approaches to better understand the mechanisms underlying infectious diseases, antibiotic resistance, and the workings of the human microbiome. Our researchers seek to use this knowledge to inform the prevention and treatment of devastating diseases.
