
Theresa Ulrich, Ph.D.
Director of Development and Advisor for Science and Partnerships

Theresa Ulrich is a director of development and advisor for science and partnerships at the Ó³»´«Ã½ of MIT and Harvard.
Ulrich supports the institute’s efforts to develop and shape new initiatives to transform the future of biomedicine and to develop and steward philanthropic partnerships in support of these goals. A scientist and engineer by training, she has diverse experience in raising funds for basic science and biomedicine, guiding development of new strategic directions, and managing collaborative scientific programs.
Prior to joining the Ó³»´«Ã½, Ulrich was the senior director of foundation relations at MIT, where she led fundraising efforts in the biomedical space and other interdisciplinary areas across campus. Earlier in her career, she served as the scientific program manager for a Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA)-funded research initiative led by faculty in the Department of Biological Engineering at MIT in collaboration with a team of industry and academic partners.
Ulrich earned a B.S. in physics from Bucknell University and a Ph.D. in bioengineering from University of California, Berkeley and University of California, San Francisco.
