For the third straight year, the ӳý has been selected by the Boston Globe as one of the “” in Massachusetts. This honor is an amazing tribute to the entire ӳý community and its collaborative spirit.

The newspaper selected 125 organizations for this honor via a survey conducted this summer and featured them in the Globe on November 4 and on . More than 80,000 people from more than 300 organizations participated in the survey, making the ӳý’s selection an incredible honor. The ұDz’s article and website highlight organizations that take care of their people, making sure employees have the opportunities and tools to build strong careers and are able to enjoy a rewarding work life and environment.

The ӳý, which was selected as a top place to work in the “large employer” category (250 to 999 people), has received this honor in each of the three years that it has been eligible. Employee comments from the survey illustrate what makes the ӳý a top place to work:

•  “I feel I am part of an institution that is working to improve health and welfare for all people.”
•  “I work with intelligent, interesting, nice people and I do something to make the world better. I am happy to come to my job every single day.”
•  “They provide nice amenities, enriching talks and find a way to hire incredibly fantastic people that work well together to get the job done.”

The ұDz’s special feature also included an article highlighting nine employees from selected companies: “.” One of those nine is our own Mark-Anthony Bray, a computational biologist for the Imaging Platform, who says that he loves his work “because it enables basic scientific research and aids in finding novel therapeutics.” He adds that he enjoys the flexibility of his work schedule, which gives him a healthy work-life balance.
