Fusobacterium

Fusobacterium have been implicated in numerous human pathologies, including Crohn's disease, ulcerative colitis, preterm birth, and even colorectal cancer. In our research, we examine whole-genome sequence data from a diverse set of Fusobacterium species to identify genetic determinants of pathogenicity, including active invasion and Fusobacterium's role in cancer.
