Decoding the Epigenomic Landscape of Trauma across the Lifespan
is a neuroscientist and an Assistant Professor at Yale School of Medicine. She obtained her BA in Biology at the University of Puerto Rico, Rio Piedras Campus and her PhD in Neuroscience at Northwestern University at Chicago. Her NIDA and VA-funded lab utilizes computational approaches to study the genomics and epigenomics of neuropsychiatric disorders, with a focus on trauma and substance use disorders. She is the recipient of multiple awards, including the VA Career Development Award, NARSAD Young Investigator Award, the Faculty for Excellence and Diversity Initiative Fellowship, and the Lawrence Family Young Investigator Award. She also serves as the co-founder and co-leader of the Latin American Genomics Consortium and the Psychiatry Genomics Consortium Substance Use Disorders Epigenetics Workgroup.
