Setting up a Biobank: Who? What? Why?

The Primer on Medical and Population Genetics is a series of weekly lectures on genetics topics related to human populations and disease. Experts from across the Medical and Population Genetics community at the Ó³»´«Ã½ give in-depth introductions to research in human genetics through overviews of core concepts and practical tutorials on tools for biostatistics, computational genomics, and variant annotation. Several talks each year focus on bioethical considerations in genomics research. Sessions are generally interactive and attendees are encouraged to raise questions.

Videos of Primer sessions are made freely available for viewing here and are geared towards a wide scientific audience. Videos are also available for streaming at the Ó³»´«Ã½'s publicly available .

If you'd like more information about the primer or have suggestions for future topics, please contact seminar series organizers Michelle McNulty and Nicole Rockweiler.
